CCTV installation for homes, shops and workplaces.

Halo Technologies supplies and installs CCTV systems from Kattappana for homes, shops, offices, warehouses, schools and institutions across Idukki. We help with system planning and equipment selection, security camera installation, recording configuration, handover and support. Video surveillance should cover the areas you need to monitor and provide recordings you can review when required.

Choose the right system

Clear security without complicated language.

We check your property, viewing areas, lighting and internet connection before recommending cameras and a recorder. Tell us whether you need to identify people at an entrance, observe a counter or review movement around a property; those needs guide the coverage plan.

Home CCTV

Know who is at the gate, watch entrances and keep an eye on children, elders and property.

  • Indoor and outdoor cameras
  • Lighting and night coverage planning
  • Supported mobile viewing

Shop and office CCTV

Protect stock, cash counters, staff areas and customer spaces with reliable recording.

  • Wide-angle coverage
  • Supported remote playback
  • Storage matched to recording needs

Commercial security

Plan coverage for warehouses, hotels, schools, institutions and larger properties.

  • Multi-camera systems
  • Network and PoE setup
  • Expandable recording

System choices

Analog HD or IP cameras?

The camera, cable, power supply and recorder must work together. Equipment selection depends on coverage, existing wiring, recording needs and future expansion.

Analog HD CCTV

Analog HD cameras usually send video over coaxial cable to a compatible digital video recorder (DVR). The DVR processes and records the incoming video. Existing cable may be reusable after checking its condition and compatibility; camera power also needs planning.

IP / network systems

IP cameras encode video and send it over a network to a compatible network video recorder (NVR). Network cabling, switches and bandwidth need planning. Power over Ethernet (PoE) can carry power and data on one cable when the camera and supplying equipment support it.

Choosing a recorder

A DVR is generally used with compatible analog cameras; an NVR records network-camera streams. Some recorders accept a mix, subject to model limits. Confirm camera compatibility, channel capacity, supported resolution and storage before choosing either system.

Camera placement

Choose the shape for the installation.

Dome, bullet and turret describe camera housings, not a guarantee of image quality or weather protection. Lens, field of view, mounting access and site conditions matter more than choosing one shape for every location.

Dome cameras

A camera behind a dome cover can suit a discreet ceiling or wall position. Keep the cover clean and check for reflections, especially when using built-in infrared illumination.

Bullet cameras

An elongated housing with an adjustable mount makes the viewing direction visible. Check reach, mounting security and exposure when positioning it along an entrance, boundary or passage.

Turret cameras

A rotating camera module in a compact housing allows the view to be aimed without a surrounding clear dome cover. Select the exact model and mount for the required coverage and environment.

Indoor and outdoor conditions

Indoors, consider entrances, backlighting, ceiling height and the detail needed at counters or doorways. Outdoors, check rain, moisture, dust, direct sunlight, vegetation and exposed connections. Match the equipment's documented weather protection to the actual exposure; housing shape alone does not establish an outdoor rating. Plan mounting position, lighting and coverage together.

Recording and access

From camera view to a usable recording.

Camera → compatible DVR/NVR → storage → local monitoring or remote viewing where supported. The recorder manages recording and playback; a connected monitor can provide local access, while remote access needs compatible equipment and a suitable connection.

Storage and retention

Recording days depend on camera count, resolution, frame rate, bitrate/compression, continuous or event-based recording and usable storage capacity. Agree the required review period, estimate storage and check actual retention after configuration. There is no fixed recording duration for every system.

Night and low-light views

Performance depends on camera technology, available light or infrared illumination, subject movement, position and environment. Infrared commonly produces black-and-white images; colour in low light depends on suitable equipment and illumination. Check views after dark for reflections, glare and obstructions rather than relying only on daytime images.

Remote viewing

Compatible systems can provide live viewing and supported playback through mobile or desktop applications when properly configured with suitable internet service. Features vary by recorder, camera and application. Check upload bandwidth, account access and connectivity; a local recording setup does not automatically include remote access.

Planning and installation

Plan coverage before choosing camera counts.

Halo Technologies positions cameras, routes cables, configures recording and supported remote access, tests the system and provides handover and local support from Kattappana. Share what you need to see and review so the system can be planned around your property.

  • Identify areas requiring coverage and the detail needed: an entrance, counter, stock area or boundary.
  • Check camera positions, blind spots, overlapping views and privacy around neighbouring spaces.
  • Assess indoor/outdoor exposure, daytime lighting, night illumination and possible glare or vegetation.
  • Agree recording mode, playback needs and storage requirements for the intended review period.
  • Check network capacity and internet availability for supported remote viewing.
  • Plan cable routes, protected connections, power availability and recorder access.
  • Allow for future cameras through suitable recorder channels, network capacity and cable planning.
  • Test live views, recording, timestamps, playback and configured access during handover; discuss ongoing support needs.

CCTV FAQs

Common questions.

Can I view my cameras from my phone?

Yes. Compatible systems can be configured for secure mobile viewing when the site has suitable internet access.

Can you install CCTV in an existing building?

Yes. We can work with existing wiring where it is suitable, or recommend new cable routing for better reliability.

How many days of recording will I have?

Retention depends on camera count, recording settings and storage capacity. We plan storage around your required review period and check the configured system rather than promising the same number of days for every installation.

Do you provide service after installation?

Yes. We provide configuration, handover and local support from Kattappana.
